Carne Group appoints Daniel Osborne as Head of ETF Solutions

13 May 2026 – Carne Group (Carne), Europe’s largest third-party management company (ManCo) and a leading provider of fund regulation and governance solutions, has appointed Daniel Osborne as Managing Director, Head of ETF Solutions, based in London, effective immediately. He will report to Des Fullam, Chief Regulatory & Client Solutions Officer at Carne.
The appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the European ETF market, as a wave of asset managers, from global institutions to boutique active managers, look to establish or expand their ETF offering, and as demand for Carne’s structuring and operational support continues to grow.
Daniel brings more than three decades of experience, primarily in ETF distribution, operations and strategy, built across some of the world’s most prominent asset managers. A senior leader with extensive background within the ETF ecosystem, his career spans sales and distribution management, ETF outsourcing and project delivery, combining commercial focus with broad operational expertise.
Most recently, Daniel served as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director at State Street, where he led the ETF business across intermediary distribution and commercial operations in EMEA and APAC for over five years. Before that, he held a series of senior roles at BlackRock within iShares EMEA, including Director of Business Management and Director of Sales Strategic Initiatives, overseeing distribution, risk and compliance frameworks, and commercial partnerships across the European ETF business.
In his new role, Daniel will lead Carne’s ETF business, supporting existing clients and asset managers seeking to establish and grow ETF platforms, with a particular focus on helping managers bring products to market with speed and ease. He will draw on his breadth of experience across the ETF ecosystem to help clients navigate an increasingly complex and competitive market, managing senior client relationships and leading the delivery of business-critical projects as more managers look to enter the space.
Des Fullam, Chief Regulatory and Client Solutions Officer at Carne, commented:
“The European ETF market is at an inflection point. Established managers are accelerating their active ETF strategies, and firms that have never before considered the wrapper are now actively exploring its potential, a trend we are seeing play out with our own clients and across the wider market. With only 23% of managers feeling confident they can support active ETF launches in-house, Carne is well placed to support that wave of new entrants needing support, and Daniel’s appointment is central to that. His combination of expertise in distribution, commercial execution and ETF operations, developed across two of the world’s largest asset managers, is exactly what our clients need as they look to build scalable, compliant and competitive ETF products. We are delighted to welcome him to Carne.”
Daniel Osborne, Managing Director, Head of ETF Solutions at Carne, added:
“The growth of ETFs in Europe has raised the bar for operational readiness, governance and execution. Managers are under real pressure to move quickly, and they need the regulatory framework, the operational infrastructure and the governance expertise to do it properly, and Carne has spent twenty years building exactly that. Its independence and scale make it the natural home for managers looking to enter the market or expand their existing offering. That foundation, alongside Carne’s strong recognition in the market, was what drew me here, and I look forward to helping existing and new ETF managers navigate the next phase of ETF growth.”
