GatherRound 2026

GatherRound 2026
More than a golf day. A day to come together.
Yesterday, we welcomed 150 industry colleagues to the beautiful surroundings of Luttrellstown Castle Golf Club for GatherRound 2026, our unique take on a golf day.
Now in its fifth year, GatherRound is built on a simple idea: bringing people together. Whether you’re an experienced golfer or have never picked up a club before, the day is designed around connection, camaraderie, friendship and fun.
Demand continues to grow, with over 70 people joining the waitlist this year. More than 30 first-time golfers took part in our Welcome to Golf sessions with the club professionals, while 24 teams competed in the fourball scramble. Many more joined us later for the prize-giving and evening barbecue. Despite some threatening weather, the rain held off until most golfers were finishing their rounds and our beginners had already found refuge in the clubhouse.
Competition winners
Congratulations to our fourball scramble champions, Kevin Coughlan, Thomas Moore and Fionan Breathnach, captained by Carne’s Sarah Murphy. They were closely followed by Morgan Dunne, Colm Clifford, David Dunne and Breda Sullivan in second place, with Siobhan Kelly, Cian Collins, Shane Coveney and David Shirley securing third.
Special competition winners included:
- Longest Drive: Aleda Anderson and Cian Collins
- Closest to the Pin: Thomas Moore
- Straightest Drive: David Hoey
Our Welcome to Golf putting competition was won by Nicola MacCarthy, Emily Lawlor, Marie Fluskey and Carne’s own Eoin Sheahan.
This year also saw the introduction of three new beginner competitions:
- Golden Putt: Eimear O’Dwyer
- Drive of the Day: Ali Asman
- Bullseye Chipping Challenge: Caroline Henry
Inclusion at the heart of GatherRound
We’re particularly proud that over 30% of participants were women, reinforcing GatherRound’s commitment to making golf more accessible and inclusive. The feedback arriving in our inbox this morning has been both humbling and inspiring. Many participants highlighted the welcoming atmosphere, the opportunity to meet new people, and the confidence they gained from stepping outside their comfort zone. GatherRound was created to ensure everyone feels welcome, regardless of golfing ability, and it’s rewarding to see that spirit continue to resonate.
More than the scorecard
GatherRound has never been just about golf. It’s about connection. The conversations that start on the fairway and continue long into the evening. The shared laughs, new friendships and welcoming spirit that make beginners feel at home and remind experienced golfers why they love the game.
Giving back
Competition winners nominated charities of their choice to receive donations, with a total of €5,000 distributed across both our traditional and newly introduced competitions. As always, the now-famous spot prizes also made an appearance, recognising some of the most memorable and entertaining moments from around the course.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to the team at Luttrellstown Castle Golf Club for hosting another exceptional day.
GatherRound will return in 2027 and we can’t wait to do it all again.
