I joined Carne Luxembourg in April 2021 as Head of Distribution, leading international distribution strategies and leveraging the use of technology to support commercial operations.
Prior to joining Carne, I spent ten years at PwC Luxembourg working within the Global Fund Distribution Advisory practice. At PwC I was responsible for assisting and advising global asset managers in relation to their European UCITS, Alternative Investment Funds, and non-European fund strategies. During my time at PwC I had the opportunity to increase my industry knowledge and expand my professional network.
My asset management career began in 2004 when I joined Société Générale in Paris, working on their financial product communications. I also had the opportunity to live and work in Ireland early in my career when I joined Citibank as an internal controller. Working and living in another country is something I would highly recommend to anyone who gets the opportunity.
Something many people won’t know about me is that I have also worked in the hair care industry. I looked after marketing and communications for L’Oreal Belgilux, where I worked on their Kérastase professional product range. Working in the hair care industry was a great experience, although my own aerodynamic hairstyle left me little opportunity to benefit from their exciting product range!
Back to Carne. Joining a new company is always exciting. It is a unique opportunity to make lasting first impressions combined with a steep learning curve; new names, faces, routines and an exposure to new and better ways of working. Working from home was also a new experience but despite the lack of in-person interactions, the daily contact with multi-national colleagues based in Luxembourg and across Carne’s global locations has been welcoming and enjoyable. I have found people at Carne to be extremely professional, thoughtful, and always willing to help, attributes that take on added significance in the current remote working environment.
The reason I joined Carne was the opportunity to contribute to the development of the fund distribution side of the business using technology solutions that support the commercial team. Carne’s services and solutions are backed by highly qualified professionals dedicated to ensuring clients meet their regulatory obligations when Distributing funds (UCITS / AIFs) in any location.
My objectives are to assist Carne’s Distribution Value Proposition from a Management Company and Product perspective, while continuing to enhance the following four key lines of services:
- Due Diligence services
- Distribution Oversight services
- Global Fund Registration services
- Direct Marketing services and MiFID solutions
Carne has a diverse base of more than 550 clients. We have clients who outsource their management company responsibilities to us, clients who select services from our à la carte menu of managed services to support their own Management Companies, and clients who run their own management companies using our technology.
From my own point of view I am ready to act as a facilitator and am really looking forward to my journey ahead with Carne and to meeting our clients and industry partners in person very soon!
